Hirmer is Munich’s largest menswear store, and they stock lots and lots of brands from around the world. Their idea to promote local brands as part of their regular “Kauf Lokal” weeks is an admirable one – the pop-up events focus on a total of 80 regional brands (ranging from perfumes to baseball caps to lemonades – it’s not just limited to men’s clothing!).
This time around (11-23 March), two new brands have signed up – LangerChen and greentree. LangerChen sell sustainable, eco-friendly outdoor clothes for both men and women, and I really love their styles. greentree, founded in 2015 by Darinka Radenkovic, will be presented in Sport Schuster for the duration of the pop-up, and you can pop by to find timeless, simple tees made locally.
Throughout Kauf Lokal, various events will be held – you can sample Acqua di Baviera‘s perfumes, for example, or try the Illusionist‘s organic dry gin.
