Stijlmarkt: 14-15 October 2017

Stijlmarkt is back for the second time this year, offering a range of beautifully designed goods at the Praterinsel. It kicks off at 11am on Saturday and Sunday (14th and 15th October), giving you time to grab coffee and breakfast at nearby Café Blá beforehand.

This year, for the very first time, Stijlmarkt is hosting various workshops. Learn how to make your own paper, courtesy of Fürth’s Papieroffizin. Or try your hand at sewing a cute winter hat with SiRA.

As for the shopping, there are a whole host of interiors and clothing stalls at Stijlmarkt. Check out Freiburg brand Kinfolkz (aren’t these shoes gorgeous?) and stationery from Dreimühlenviertel brand Fine Fine Stuff.

Entrance costs 7 € on the door (or you can order them in advance online), and don’t worry about having to leave for lunch – there are plenty of food trucks on hand to fill your bellies, and great coffee to wash lunch down with.

It’s a great chance to start Christmas shopping early (I feel criminal even uttering the C word in mid-October), or simply to check out independent, local designers. And if your bank balance isn’t doing all that well after Oktoberfest, Stijlmarkt is a way to while away the weekend, seeking inspiration and enjoying street food on the banks of the Isar.
