Munich bloggers

Happy New Year! As it’s the start of a new year, I’m allowing myself to get a little schmaltzy. I started this blog two years ago, and from it I’ve met (either in person or online) the most wonderful people – from Munich, from around Germany and from around the world. Thank you, you lovely bunch, for continuing to read this blog – here’s to many more years to come.

So, to start off 2014, I thought I’d share some of the Munich blogs that I love to read for inspiration, tips and stunning photography. Many of you have blogs yourselves, or read far more prolifically than I do, and I would love to hear about your favourite blogs from München.

In no particular order, here goes:

Paper Doll Parade

Sasha is a Munich-based writer who’s been blogging since 2008. She writes about good honest food, tells tales of her travels around the world and takes the most beautiful photographs. I am more than a little bit in love with her blog, and she’s a firm favourite when I’m looking for new recipes to try. I particularly enjoyed Sasha’s eggs en cocotte with tarragon.

Wahlmünchnerin

Eleanor writes about everyday Munich life, and takes lots of lovely pictures, including a delightful one of one of Munich’s most famous couples.

Styleclicker

Not exclusive to Munich, but includes lots of handsome snaps of our city’s chic elite.

Muenchenblogger

The definitive German-language guide as to what’s on in the city.

A Bavarian Soujourn

Emma’s blog is charming – I love her Silent Sunday photo series, and she’s a whiz in the kitchen – her recipes are failsafe.

Munich & the Mountains

I met Nadin in the summer, just before she launched Munich & the Mountains. The site’s currently a little sparse, but beautifully designed. She runs a European booking agency, so always has the very best insider tips as to what’s going on in the city. Stay tuned!

MunichOpenMinded

For those partygoers amongst you.
