Having a three-month old has curtailed my restaurant trips somewhat. Thankfully, Deliveroo is adding more and more fantastic local restaurants to its books, meaning I can enjoy the best of Munich’s cuisine in my pyjamas, on the couch, while watching Better Call Saul.
Last week I ordered food from La Biznaga, a Spanish restaurant in Westend that serves up Andalucian cuisine. It’s been open for a year now, but I had never found the time to try it out. Having heard very good things from my neighbours, I was thrilled to see that Deliveroo had it listed.
I ordered two types of pork – 200g of solomillo de cerdo iberico, cooked in a sweet wine, and flamenquin, pork stuffed with serrano, cheese and green peppers. The dishes came with a side of potatoes and Meditteranean vegetables, roasted with balsamic vinegar.
The flamenquin was the perfect comfort food – hearty, cheesy and filling. And the 200g of pork was heaven. I wasn’t expecting such a perfectly cooked fillet of pork to arrive via courier, and it was a real delight tucking into it.
The choice of tapas is overwhelming (artichokes with iberico ham, garlic shrimps, boquerones and patatas bravas, etc.) and sounds delicious. The only reason I didn’t order tapas this time was because I couldn’t make my mind up what to choose.
If you fancy trying some of the best local restaurants in your area without having to get up off your couch, Deliveroo are offering Arts in Munich readers 10 € off their first order.* All you have to do is enter your address into Deliveroo, select a restaurant from the list, pick out your dishes and add the code ARTSINMUNICH when entering your payment details.
