Nicolas Ceccaldi – Red Wine

Starting Friday, the Kunstverein are hosting an exhibition by Canadian born artist Nicolas Ceccaldi. It’s his first exhibition in a public institution, though the artist has exhibited extensively in private galleries across the world – including Arnolfini in Bristol, Real Fine Arts in Brooklyn, NYC and the contemporary Johan Berggren Gallery in Malmö.

The New York based artist has created an entirely new body of work for the exhibition, having spent an extended period of time in Munich, to ensure that the work fits to its space. The exhibition will include a deer skull installation, a new series of multi-sensory paintings and giclée canvas prints.

The vernissage is this Friday at 7pm, with an after party organized by Kyselina TM with DJ-Sets from DJ HVAD, WHY BE and LOTIC. The Kunstverein is hosting a meet and greet with the artist himself on Sunday, at 3pm, and if you’re keen on finding out more, the Kunstverein’s director, Bart van der Heide, will be giving a guided tour at 7pm next Tuesday.
