Mariela Sartorius in the Orangerie

The Munich painter and journalist Mariela Sartorius is launching a new exhibition in the Englischer Garten’s Orangerie tomorrow. The artist has exhibited across the world in recent years – New Mexico, Madrid and London, to name a few – and this exhibition, on home turf, features a fascinating, experimental combination of photographs and acrylic paintings.

She’s led a busy life as a writer – visiting Frank Zappa at his Los Angeles home, writing for Vogue and ELLE, and authoring several books. Now, aged 75, she’s become an accomplished artist.

The exhibition will run until 5 February, and is open daily from 3pm-6pm.
