Things are still pretty quiet in Munich right now, and I for one am enjoying partial hibernation. Here’s a quick rundown of what’s on over the next week in Munich, for those of you with cabin fever.
Head to the Amerikahaus on Wednesday for an evening of literature. The book club is on the utterly brilliant Every Day is for the Thief, by Teju Cole.
Also on Wedneday, Jim Jarmusch’s Paterson is showing at the Neues Maxim (OV with subtitles). The Atlantic have called it “a quiet, considered masterpiece”, and it stars Adam Driver, better known as Adam Sackler in Girls.
The Haus der Kunst are running a 2 € English-language tour of the Joana Hadjithomas & Khalil Joreige: Two Suns in a Sunset exhibition on Friday night. I can highly recommend a Haus der Kunst tour, I have always learnt so much from them – and at 2 €, you can’t go far wrong. Stop by the Goldene Bar afterwards for a G&T.
On Saturday, Scandinavia’s Lydmor & Bon Homme are at Milla, as part of a four-date German tour. It starts at 8:30pm and tickets cost 13 €.
And if the snow and the cold is getting too much for you, head indoors to the Haus der Kunst’s Postwar exhibition – it’s running until March 26 and I’ve heard a lot of good things about it.
Have a great week, folks!
