The Art of Hard Rock

In 1971, two Americans founded the very first Hard Rock Cafe in London. Forty years later, the chain now owns one of the world’s largest collections of music memorabilia. There are restaurants everywhere – Cancun, Beirut, Phuket and Florence, just to name a few. There are Hard Rock hotels, casinos, and hey, you can even have a Hard Rock wedding if you love the brand that much.

It’s safe to say that the Hard Rock brand name is well-established, internationally synonymous with burgers, rock music and tourists flaunting their Hard Rock Punta Cana white tees. To celebrate the success of the brand and the tenth birthday of Hard Rock Munich, the Amerika Haus is currently exhibiting some very rock’n’roll portraits. Works from the likes Udo Lindenberg, Jim Morrison, Frank Zappa and Buddy Holly can be found adorning the Amerika Haus’ walls until 5 April.
