Some of you might remember that I spent a lovely afternoon at the Giesinger Bräu brewery earlier this summer, sampling beers aplenty and learning about the brewing process. They’re a young brewery, in existence since 2006, when they started brewing beer in a garage. Now, they’re producing way more than 1,000 hectolitres a year and demand far exceeds supply (they’re moving to a new location close to Silberhornstr. sometime this autumn). For what is still a relatively small brewery, they produce a huge variety of delicious beers, and all can be picked up either from the brewery directly, or at various stores around Munich (including my favourite drinks store, Getränke Oase).
Very kindly, Giesinger Bräu have offered to give five lucky Arts in Munich readers a “spa package” each – which consists of two crates of beer (Giesings Gold in brand new 0.33l bottles), 2 deckchairs and a t-shirt with Giesinger Bräu’s motto – Think Global, Drink Local, available in sizes M-XXL.
