Butter - Neuhausen

Butter

I had been meaning to visit Butter ever since Milena wrote about it for amazed mag just before Christmas. Finally, Lilian and I got around to it at the weekend, and it didn’t disappoint.

Located in Blutenburgstraße in Neuhausen, Butter’s been open for just over a year. The decor is very cute – lots of old wood panelling, blackboards and lots of blue and yellow, and the atmosphere is very relaxed.

The food is simple yet superb. I had a gorgonzola and pear panini with salad, and it was hearty and made with love – some Munich cafes have this terrible habit of putting mayonnaise in paninis, which I cannot stand, but this was a very traditional, flavoursome sandwich.

Butter’s open during the week from 8am-6pm, and as well as breakfast pastries and freshly pressed juices, they do a lunch deal – a starter, main course and coffee or a slice of chocolate cake for just under 10 €, which is a great offer for a high-quality lunch.

There are so many lovely little places in Neuhausen, it’s worth spending a Saturday strolling around there – Der Hollabusch is another great little cafe, the Neuhauser Markt on the corner of Blutenburgstr. and Elvirastr. sells great regional products, and Mahlefitz is just around the corner.

Check out Butter’s website or their Facebook page for more info.
