Next Week in Munich – Noel Gallagher, Giggs & Cosmo Sheldrake

Easter’s been and gone and events are in full swing again. This coming week is busy busy busy:

Nada Surf are playing in the Muffathalle on Monday. I once spent a super fun afternoon interviewing Matthew Caws in Munich around a decade ago, and they are so much fun – live and in interview. This time, they’re celebrating the fifteenth anniversary since the release of Let Go.

On Tuesday, London band Gengahr are at Milla. They released their second studio album Where Wildness Grows last month, and are currently touring Europe to promote it.

Also on Tuesday, multi-instrumentalist Cosmo Sheldrake is playing a sold-out show at the Kranhalle. He is incredible live, so if you have tickets, you’re in for a treat.

London rapper Giggs is playing at Ampere on Wednesday. He was honored at the BET Awards last year as Best International Act: Europe and released an acclaimed mix tape – Wamp 2 Dem – in October of last year.

Also on Wednesday (and Thursday and Friday), the ever popular Nino aus Wien is playing at Milla. There are still tickets available for his gig on Wednesday – the other two shows are sold-out.

On Thursday, Noel Gallagher and his High Flying Birds are in the Zenith. Their latest album Who Built the Moon? was released in November, and reviews were very positive.

Canada’s most famous cover band, Walk off the Earth, are playing at the Zenith on Friday. Tickets are available for 31 € here.

Check out the Mädelsflohmarkt at the Feierwerk on Saturday night, and make sure you visit Haus der Kunst by Sunday – it’s the last day of Oscar Murillo and Polina Kanis’ capsule exhibitions.
