Kunst in Sendling – October 2012

kunst in sendling

Every now and then, artists in Sendling get together to celebrate the district’s artistic talents. This weekend (starting Friday, running through to Sunday), there are various events organized by Kunst in Sendling, and everyone’s welcome. It is a perfect weekend activity – a late brunch, then a stroll through Sendling, wandering from atelier to atelier, helping out with interactive installations, then stopping at beirut beirut for a bite to eat.

The program’s available here, and you can download the PDF to print out and take with you, or you can download the Kunst in Sendling app, so you can find your next atelier while wandering around Sendling this weekend. Particularly interesting is the installation planned outside Rewe, in Alramstr.. On both Saturday and Sunday afternoon, you can bring along your old, unwanted and unimportant things, and Ines Honsel and Oliver Haffner will create an installation from it all.

On Sunday, meet at 5pm at Cafe Kreislauf (or get there an hour earlier and enjoy some of their yummy food), for a tour through Sendling’s ateliers. It costs 8 € and takes a couple of hours.

As the weather is going to be delightful this weekend, there’s no excuse not to go – a whole lot of art in one of Munich’s nicest districts (I know, I’m biased).
