Deliveroo München

Deliveroo Munich

Three weeks ago, I had a baby. Since then, my life has been all about breastfeeding, changing nappies and grabbing a few minutes of sleep whenever I can. I haven’t had much time to cook, so having family and friends bring hot, healthy and hearty meals around has been a godsend.

Nonetheless, there are still days when a takeout is a comforting idea – but lukewarm pizzas and bad Indian food aren’t exactly what you want when you’re sleep starved and famished.

Thanks to Deliveroo, it’s now possible to bring some of Munich’s best restaurants to you. London-based Deliveroo launched in Munich in June, and have done an excellent job of selecting great Munich restaurants to add to their delivery portfolio.

Last night, I ordered manti and bulgur salad from Lezizel via Deliveroo, and revelled in being able to have a fantastic quality, lovingly prepared meal from an independent restaurant without having to leave the house. The food arrived punctually, piping hot and tasted just as good as it does when ordered inside the restaurant itself.

Deliveroo’s concept focuses on restaurants and cafes that produce superb food using fresh produce, and their chosen restaurants reflect this commitment. The highly rated burger joint Meat In Bun is on their list, as are Sendling’s Lebanese restaurants Beirut Beirut and Manouche, my favourite Italian Quattro Tavoli, the Burrito Company, Nudo – and for those of you with a sweet tooth, there are plenty of dessert options listed too, including the delicious Principessa’s Macarons.
