Next Week in Munich – Wu-Tang Clan, Chilly Gonzales & Moriarty

The greatest hip-hop group of all-time, the Wu-Tang Clan are playing a sold-out show at the Zenith on Monday, as part of a pretty intense European tour. If you’re going, have a wonderful evening!

Also on Monday, French-American band Moriarty are playing at the Kranhalle. They released a new album, Epitaph, at the end of March which received pretty good reviews. Tickets cost 22 € and the gig starts at 9pm.

There’s a physics lecture in the Muffatcafe on Tuesday, focusing on the cosmos. It’s in German, and will be hosted by the TUM’s Professor Stephan Paul. Entrance is entirely free.

There’s another talk going on on Wednesday, in the Blackbox (Gasteig). It’s focused on how we can use Munich’s rooves to benefit the city, and architects, representatives from the city and the Gasteig will be at the discussion.

Berlin pop duo Berge are playing at Milla on Wednesday. Tickets cost 15 € on the door and the show starts at 9pm.

Seventy-four year old (yes, really) Neil Diamond is playing at the Olympiahalle on Friday. Tickets are sold-out, with some selling for over 200 €. He’s still got it.

On Friday and Saturday, the DaWanda Designmarkt is taking place at the Zenith. It’s a day out for the whole family – kids under twelve get in for free, and there are plenty of stands selling children’s clothes and toys. A total of 145 DaWanda stores will be selling their unique products – from stationery and homeware, to jewellery and bags.

On Sunday, the wonderful Chilly Gonzales will be performing at the Gasteig, promoting his latest album Chambers. I have seen him perform at the Gasteig before (in his bathrobe and slippers) and he is so much fun to watch live. Some tickets are still available.

Have a great week, folks!
