Next Week in Munich – HIGHLIGHTS, Algiers & Vessels

The week starts with a bang, with A$AP Rocky and Wiz Khalifa at the Zenith. A$AP Rocky’s promoting the album he released in summer, At.Long.Last.A$AP and Wiz Khalifa’s just released two new songs, Just Because and Outsider, which he’ll undoubtedly perform at the gig Monday night.

Cornwall’s Brother & Bones are playing at Milla on Tuesday. They’ve made it big in Holland, and are trying to crack other European countries with their gentle rock music.

On Wednesday, Florida duo Sales are at the Ampere. They make lovely, light-hearted guitar pop, and German dream poppers Wyoming will be supporting. Tickets cost 16 € on the door.

From Wednesday through to Sunday, the HIGHLIGHTS International Art Fair is taking place at the Residenz in Munich. The fair was founded in 2009, and features works of art spanning hundreds of years. Entrance costs 25 € for adults, and guided tours (in German, though tours in English can be provided upon request) will take place over the course of the fair.

Experimental band Algiers are playing at Strom on Thursday. Their music is so interesting, and it’ll be well worth catching their gig.

From Thursday to Sunday, there’s a very cute event on at Schellingstraße 54 (an studio) – a handmade & vintage apartment market. Designers will be selling their wares in a relaxed, informal environment and food will be provided by the excellent nudo pasta bar.

And if hand crafted goods are your thing, there’s plenty more to be found at the 19th Markt der Sinne at the Praterinsel from Friday to Sunday – entrance costs just 7 €.

From Friday to Sunday, head to the Zenith on an empty stomach for Eat & Style. The event is a chance to discover new juices, gins and biscuits, to wolf down plenty of street food and to get some Christmas shopping done early.

Leeds band Vessels are at Strom on Sunday. Their music has changed dramatically, and with the release of Dilate earlier this year, they’ve demonstrated their desire to create more electronic music. And it sounds fantastic:
