Starting tomorrow, the Museum Brandhorst will open an exhibition presenting a series of paintings by American conceptual artist Wade Guyton. Guyton uses images from the New York Times in his works, transferring them to his paintings using scanners and digital inkjet technology. The works examine the interplay between paintings and photography, and how they can challenge and complement one another.
He has just finished showing a part of the series at New York’s Petzel Gallery, and his work will be available at the Brandhorst to view until April 30, 2017. More information is available on the Brandhorst’s website.
