LaBook2012

The LaBook2012 Book and Reading fayre opens at 7pm on Thursday, and will run until 8th April. The fayre isn’t your usual sleek and commercial expo, with industry big-wigs scoffing vol-au-vents and discussing profit margins. Instead, it’s a place where people who work in the book industry can meet in a relaxed atmosphere, where they can discuss the future of books and publishing and can network. It’s the TOCA ME of books.

Starting this Saturday and running until the first Saturday in April, readings and discussions will take place in Lothringer 13, a cultural centre / workshop near Ostbahnhof. Artist and journalist Gesa Helms, from Variant will be on-hand to discuss her work with the magazine on 1st April, and other dates for the diary can be found on Lothringer 13’s events page.
