Last night I was invited to check out Martin Tingvall, who’s just released a solo piano album, following his success with his jazz band, the Tingvall Trio. I love piano music, and drift off into my own world, and the cosy, intimate Black Box in the Gasteig was a lovely location.
Also, a colleague’s just told me that Gary Clark Jr.’s coming to town! If you haven’t heard of his stuff, he’s from the coolest blues city in the world – Austin, Texas, and plays a mesmerising mix of blues, soul and psychedelic rock. Tickets cost 26 € and he’s playing at the Atomic Cafe on February 22. Definitely worth seeing.
